Assessment & placement

German language assessment for employees and candidates

Before training or hiring decisions, companies need to know what their people can actually do in German. lingui.cc assesses real communication ability — speaking, writing, listening and reading — and translates the result into a concrete training recommendation.

What the assessment covers

  • Language assessment

A structured evaluation of the four skills, scored against CEFR level descriptors from A1 to C2.

  • Interviews

A spoken interview with a trainer to check fluency, comprehension and how the participant handles unfamiliar questions.

  • Level evaluation

A clear CEFR level per participant, used to form groups where everyone can work at the same pace.

  • Professional language assessment

Role-related tasks — a customer call, an email, a handover — to show how the language holds up under work conditions.

  • Recommendations for corporate training

A written recommendation covering suggested level, format, duration and priorities for each group.

  • Placement test

A shorter placement test when the only question is which course level a participant should join.

How companies use the results

HR and L&D teams use assessment results to form training groups, plan budgets and timelines, identify employees ready for German-language work, and set a baseline against which later progress is measured. Results are reported per participant and as a group overview.

Assessment in Egypt and remotely

Assessments are conducted in Cairo or online, which makes them practical for multinational companies with teams across Egypt and the wider Middle East.
